Dr. Lauren Richards is a clinical and research postdoctoral fellow at the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program, working with veterans with PTSD and other readjustment concerns. Dr. Richards graduated from McGill University with honors and received her Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Boston University. She completed her internship at the Boston Consortium, in the Center for Returning Veterans at VA Boston.

Dr. Richards’s clinical interests include the use of empirically supported treatments for PTSD and related anxiety and mood disorders. She has received training in both Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD, and has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of eating and weight disorders. Dr. Richards’s research interests involve identifying barriers to psychological care in order to inform the development of treatment access and retention interventions. Dr. Richards is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the American Psychological Association (APA), and the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED).
